2012???????? another question…help?
are people gonna die just like the dinosaours did in 2012? i’m shaking now and crying i’m not kidding. so scared
theres so many ppl who said the world will end, the polar shift, sun storms… i dont know what to do anymore im just so scared
Without going into a lot of details here’s the facts.
The only thing in all this nonsense that is true is that the current version of the Mayan long count of days will end soon, mostly thought to be 21 or 23 December 2012.
There are a few pieces of nonsense about galactic line-ups. Most of them are lies, one story is true and happens twice every year if you are not too careful about exact directions and the other was closest to true in 1998, we are now moving away from it. In other words, they don’t matter.
Everything else is a direct lie. This covers only some of them.
Mayans predicted disaster – direct lie
Mayans knew anything about galaxies – direct lie.
Planets line up, they can’t and they will not – direct lie.
Claims of Nostradamus, Merlin, Mother Shipton, Chinese, Egyptian – Hindu, Zoroastrian, Sumerian prophecies – direct lies, all of them.
Bible Codes – direct lies and they have been known to be faked since at least 1998.
Planet X – direct lie, it failed to kill us in 2003 so the woman who invented it postponed it till 2012 to fit in with the Mayan calendar nonsense. You can keep on making money that way.
Nibiru – direct lie, even the fraud who made it up says it won’t be back till after 2085
Timewave Zero – complete nonsense and a direct lie. The inventor was a drug addled numerologist.
Web bot and photon belt – direct lies.
Revelation or Old Testament prophets predict it – direct lies.
It all started with some relatively innocent new age drivel about the Mayan calendar supposedly ending and there would be some kind of shift of human consciousness.
That was not scary enough to sell survival supplies, disaster shelters, guns, books, DVDs and nonsensical documentaries to unscrupulous TV transmitters. So it got turned into the end of the world for commercial purposes. Profit is the only motive, the source of the profits are gullible kids and adults who are – well you know.
The 2012 movie seem to be based on the lying prophecies for 2003.

its me lol | Nov 03, 2009
Omg If we do die I wanna die like a true G! Bullets tornado cars fliiping everywhere sh*t
Geneciszsz | Nov 03, 2009
no. that’s just the end of the 4th calendar. they can’t make a 5th cause the people who made the calendar died already. it’s also the year that the sun is supposed to align with the milky way.
Sidney C | Nov 03, 2009
Don’t worry, they made a mistake and now the calendar is set on 2207 … so by that time u wont have had headaches for some time
Angi | Nov 03, 2009
…No, you won’t die. First, the world isn’t gonna end because the Maya calendar ends. Second, they miscalculated. The calendar ends in 2212, not 2012. So take a deep breath and calm down, you’ll be fine.

Oh puleeeze. Use your brain. How is it that any being could be able to predict the future?
Oldwhiteguy2earth | Nov 03, 2009
No one knows with any certainty what is going to happen to man…including the Mayans. Yes, historical epic events has taken place according to the Mayan calender but man is still walking the Earth. You really need to cheer up and do something product like chasing boys or getting an education.
Hangfire | Nov 03, 2009
First off you need to take Christ into your life so when the earth does end you will be in a better place, one that I could never describe to you.
Second, I think Nostradamus was a con artist. All of his "prophecies" are very general and could be misread by anyone to fit into any situation. I think the Aztecs figured, "why the heck should I make out a calendar for eternity if I will not be here…" and all the hoopla about the polar shifts is a way for the environmentalist to think they are right about something.
Just my opinion but if my time comes in 2012 or 2112, I know I will be ready!! Will you?

they based that assumption of the mayan calendar supposedly and a couple weeks ago a reporter went to the mayans and interviewed them to see what they thought about the 2012 predictions. what the interview showed was that they had no idea that everyone thought the world was going to end and were shocked. clearly there has been some misinterpretation and there is nothing to worry about. why should we worry over something that the people the its based off of arent worried? just relax and take a deep breathe.

It’s all nonsense. Complete and total fabrications. Hoaxes. Lies.
None of the people saying these things are scientists, and much of it is physically impossible. There are no predictions of solar storms, giant planet collisions, tidal waves, polar shifts, planetary alignments, galactic alignments, etc. None. Zero.
Here’s a debunking from when a lot of this was floating around in 2003. Does any of it sound familiar?
http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/pla netx/
They let 2003 pass, erased the date, wrote in "2012" and trotted it all out again.
And here’s something from NASA:

The people who need help are the people who have to read one insipid question about 2012 after another.

2012 is complete nonsense.
2012 is a complete 100% junk science internet hoax; usually believed by people who did poorly in their science classes!
The planets NEVER ACTUALLY ALIGN. Their orbits prevent an actual straight line alignment.
Planet X does not exist anywhere in the sky. No where on the internet can you find the sky coordinates for this fake planet. It is not hiding behind the sun (we orbit the sun ), it is NOT visible from the Southern Hemisphere. We can see in every direction with our telescopes.
No near Earth objects are headed our way for a catastrophic impact in 2012.
The Earth and sun "line-up" on the center of the galaxy every year on December 21st! We are actually 6 degrees away from the center MOVING AWAY!
The whole thing is a complete hoax. Watch the famous astronomer Neil Tyson make fun of the 2012 hoax.
